sometimes i want to reply with a snippet in which i can dynamically change the text just for that reply without actually modifying the snippet itself, e.g. ?link https://www.google.com

so let's say the link snippet looks like this:

and when someone uses ?link https://www.google.com,
please check out the following link in order to continue: https://www.google.com
will be sent

i don't think there are any alternatives

Who will this benefit?

i think this will benefit people who have snippets that are long in size and who want to dynamically and temporarily (one-time) make snippets appropriate for their situation.

Hi,

This is already possible through an alias.

If for example you do
?alias add link reply Use this link:

Then do
?link https://google.com

It will then work as you are requestsing.

i didn't know about that! thanks for showing me that, however i was leaning more towards the placeholder based solution due to the fact that your approach will work only when you need to add information after a message. say i did

?alias add link reply Use this link:
Thank you for contacting Modmail!

and then did ?link https://google.com. the produced result therefore would be

Use this link:
Thank you for contacting Modmail! https://google.com/

I'll be adding this in the near feature.
This is actually a great feature with alot of use-cases.
