Implement a per-note frontmatter property value to disable or enable Tasks plugin [was 'Exclude Folders']

• My request is about the Tasks plugin for Obsidian.
• I am only requesting a single feature in the Tasks plugin. Multiple changes should be split into individual requests, with links between them.
• I believe my requested feature will be generally applicable to other Tasks plugin users, not just me: it is not uniquely tied to my personal workflow.

🔖 Feature description

I want to exclude Certain Notes from the Task Plugin. So if i use Checkboxes there, its not producing more data.

This is possible already using the Global Query in Tasks Settings:
https://publish.obsidian.md/tasks/Queries/Global+Query

You can put as many lines as you like in your Global Query like:

filename does not include Some File to Exclude
folder does not include Some/Folder/To Exclude
path does not include A/File/In/A/Folder
root does not include Top Level Folder Name

Thank you for you fast response. I meant in the original task. Not in the Query. For example if i check boxes in a daily note, they shouldn't get marked with the ✅YYYY-MM-DD

Then please define exactly what you want Tasks to do, and not do, for the tasks in particular folders?

• Exclude them from Tasks searches?
• Only not include Done dates?
• Anything else?

That above issue considers allowing Tasks settings (such as "As Done Date on Completion") to be overridden on:

• per-file basis
• per-folder basis

I'd like to choose in which notes checkboxes are treated as a task. So they dont get get dates when checked.
