Are all existing non-managed resources deleted?

This looks like a really interesting tool and I’m excited to give it a try.

I don’t have a sandbox environment to try it on.

I’m uncertain what the behaviour is when it comes to deleting existing resources in my AWS account.

If I enable discover and synchronisation, then apply my formae with reconcile mode, will all my existing resources be removed? Should I always use patch mode instead?

I think the docs do a good job of describing the modes. I’m just not 💯 in this circumstance and want to avoid deleting everything that already exists!

Let me state that to avoid any undesirable situations you SHOULD explore formae with a test or sandbox account.

However, If you are not attempting any apply or destroy operations, enabling discovery will not result in any resource deletions from the cloud provider. Discovered resources will be extractable from formae (as unmanaged), and will be available for introspection and query via the inventory.
