Hi, I'm Abhishek (Abhi) Thakur , an AI Engineer and passionate open-source creator/maintainer. I have over 4+ years of experience in open-source contributions and software development, and I'm dedicated to building high-performance, easy-to-use tools for developers, especially in the Computer Vision and ML spaces.

In 2019, I released the first version of Vidgear, which has grown into a powerful, multi-threaded Python framework for video processing. It's designed to easily integrate and perform Complex Video Processing Tasks with state-of-the-art CV libraries, in just a few lines of code. It's now used by major organizations like Meta (Facebook Research) and Pirxel-Ai and has over 3.6k stars.

I've invested thousands of hours into building and maintaining this and other projects—all while working and pursuing my Master's degree. My other key projects include:
